Getting younger, all the time
Today is my 61st birthday. It’s the first birthday I can remember where I am celebrating being younger than I was a year ago.
I know that sounds like the fantasy of all of us as we age, but in this case – according to my friends and mentors at the AIM Institute of Lifestyle Medicine – it may also be true.

Meeting the biggest challenge so far
This was clearly going to be my biggest challenge, so far. My wife and I were flying to Florida for an 11-day working holiday – “working”, because I would be doing research for travel articles.

Dealing with deal-breakers
Since I am a 60-year-old, overweight… no, you already know the truth, “obese”… guy, it will not surprise you to learn that this is not the first time I have made tentative, and eventually unproductive, steps toward getting healthier. I have dieted, and I have also, once upon a time, joined a gym.
